By CN!

Sensitive skin is difficult to care. Weather conditions, stress, beauty products, food…. All these factors can irritate sensitive skin. If you want to take proper care of your skin, then check how to do it effectively.

How do you know that you have sensitive skin?

Signs of sensitive skin:

  • your skin turns white when pressed with a finger;
  • redness, caused by the expansion of blood vessels;
  • if your skin turns red, it indicates dilated blood vessels.

1. Protecting

Such a skin type is very sensitive to water, wind, new cosmetic products and some foods. Sometimes sensitive skin can be inherited, it most often affects people with fair complexion and bright eyes. If you also have sensitive skin, you should protect it from irritation, sunrays, low and high temperatures and some cosmetics. Choose the most delicate products for allergy sufferers and care products without detergents.

2. Moisturising

Dehydrated skin is particularly susceptible to the formation of wrinkles. The skin itself does not produce lipids that have a moisturising effect, the skin’s natural protective layer is damaged. Dry skin peels, is rough and not elastic. People with dry skin should regularly use a good moisturizing cream and eye cream.  They should also drink at least two liters of water a day and use moisturizing face masks.

3. Strengthening

Under the influence of external factors the blood vessels expand and contract. In the long run this may lead to spider veins or rosacea. How can you prevent it? You should take vitamin C regularly, use products with rutin and horse chestnut. You can also use iontophoresis to strengthen the vessel walls.

Do you know that…

… the skin of men is about 16% thicker than the skin of women? The difference lies also in the collagen content, sebum production and the aging process. The men’s skin begins to age only after the age of 40. Although women have fewer wrinkles, they are usually deeper and more visible. Men’s skin is also more susceptible to mechanical damage.
