Paraffine Wax for hands

What is Paraffin Wax and why it is great for the Skin?
Paraffin Wax is odourless solid derivable from caol or petroleum. It melts above 99°F and it is a great moisturizer. It is widely used in food processing, gives chocolate and sweets nice gloss. For many years, women were using paraffin wax externally, to improve the condition of the skin.

Paraffin hand wax is a great treatment that can complement any manicure. Paraffin wax help to stimulate the blood circulation and therefore it releases pain in arthritic conditions and it acts a deep moisturizer. The warm wax penetrates into the upper layers of the epidermis. It is recommended for those whose hands are dry and cracked. It softens the skin and soothes any skin irritations. If you have a special electric container purchased only for paraffin wax use the low setting so you do not burn your hands. First, prepare the wax by melting it in the heater. It takes about two hours for £3 of the wax to completely melt.

Beware, paraffin wax is flammable; therefore, never leave it unattended when it is melting. Never put the wax into the microwave and it is not recommended to melt on the stove where you are not able to set the temperature. Before dipping your hands in the warm paraffin, remove all the jewellery including any bracelets and a watch. When the wax has melted completely and when it has the desirable, warm temperature, slowly submerge your clean, dry hand into the liquid and let it sit there for a few seconds. Then remove your hand from paraffin and place it into the plastic liner.

With the liner in place, slide your hand into the cloth mitten and leave it on for 10-13 min. After that time, remove the mitten and then the plastic liner and gently peel the wax from your hand. Use the cotton towel to remove any remaining oils. Once the first hand is done, you can go ahead with the second hand. You will be amazed how soft and rejuvenated the skin is. The paraffin wax treatment can be performed before having the manicure done.
