boxer-braids.jpg“Boxer braids” are a true Instagram revelation. It is the hairstyle that became a true hit and was not made popular by the female boxers but celebrities and models.

The entire world proclaimed boxer braids to be remarkably effective, convenient and simply perfect for the hot months. If you don’t want to stay behind with fashion news, read below tutorial. We will describe how to do boxer braids step by step.

STEP 1

Thoroughly comb hair before you proceed with the actual tie. It is an important step as it will allow you to gather hair more easily and avoid tangles and knots.

STEP 2

After you finished combing, part your hair. It needs to be done precisely in the centre of the head so that hairstyle will be symmetrical.

STEP 3

Once you parted hair, spray it with any volume boost enhancing cosmetic, hair spray or protect it with a bit of hair oil. It will ensure smoother that contributes to more convenient work with the hair.

STEP 4

Now start the hairstyle by gathering hair at the very base of the head, best in the spot where you parted hair like you would with Dutch braiding. First do one side (the hair on the other side can be protected with a pin or a hair tie), only then move to the other side.

STEP 5

When braiding, gather thin sections from your hairline for the most impressive and thick braid effect. Cross the hair sections with each other and tie it tight — hair cannot be loose.

STEP 6

Braid needs to be done to the very hair ends which need to be tied with a small hair tie in colour similar to your hair colour. It is going to be a more difficult task for women who have layered hair as by the end it will try to escape from the braid. Boxer braids are the best choice for women with perfectly straight hair.

STEP 7

After you finished with one braid, do the same with the other side performing steps from 4 to 6. Remember to start it at the same height and do it symmetrical to the previous one.

STEP 8

When you finish the hairstyle, you can try to gently backcomb the braids or take out individual strands of hair so that it gained more subtle shape and volume.
