Nighttime skin care regimen step by step

By CN!

We all know that evening face care is essential to keep the skin both healthy and good-looking. If you do it right, it should be made of four steps: makeup removal, cleansing, toner, moisture boost. Check out the best nighttime skin care step by step

Step 1 MAKEUP REMOVAL

Removing makeup products is the base of skin care. You can never leave foundation, eyeshadow, mascara on skin to sleep – you must take them off! Why it matters so much? Throughout the day dirt, sweat and sebum build up on skin and together with makeup they clog skin pores causing acne breakouts and irritations. To make things worse, makeup will smudge your bedsheets, which in turn triggers development of bacteria that cause various skin conditions.

Step 2 CLEANSING

Firstly you need to make sure your skin is free of makeup, oil, sweat and other impurities. Use formula you like but get one suited to your skin type. For deeper cleansing, use a scrub which purifies skin pores, removes dead cells, smoothes fine lines and brightens minor spots. You can try oil cleansing method because oils are very good at removing grease.

Step 3 TONER

After taking makeup off and cleansing, a toner is a must. This product removes all impurities that might have been left, balances pH, moisturizes, freshens and preps skin for next skin care steps. You need to choose suitable toner for your skin type and its needs. Make sure it’s free from alcohols, preservatives and chemicals.

Step 4 MOISTURIZING

The last stage focuses on moisturizing skin. During nighttime routine go for richer products like thick creams, oils, essences and serums. Remember to pick the right one for your skin type. While applying a chosen product, never forget to condition skin on the neck and chest – the area where wrinkles appear the fastest. Remember also about an eye cream to smooth out lines and reduce dark circles and puffy eyes.
