False Lashes- Can they replace your own ones?
Long and lust eyelashes are the dream of most women all over the world. Most us either wear a few coats of mascara or wear a pair of falsies. Nowadays we can observe that incredibly long eyelashes are in fashion. It is worth taking a minute or two to learn how to apply the false eyelashes properly.
Different types of false eyelashes
It is easy to be lost as there are many different types of eyelash extensions and we may find it difficult to find the right option without any knowledge. False eyelashes comes in different length, the longest should have 14 millimetres, curl and thickness. What is important, we should realize that ‘false’ eyelashes can be made of natural materials such as silk or mink. If you would like to have mink eyelashes you have to be prepare to pay more; but on the other hand, mink eyelashes are extremely light and they do not weight down your natural eyelashes. Thanks to this feature, one natural eyelash can hold as many as three mink eyelashes. It is a great alternative to those who have sparse eyelashes and 1:1 method (one false eyelash is adhered to the natural one) may not dramatically improve their thickness. Eyelash extensions seem to be low maintenance. In fact, they require a lot of attention. They cannot be treated by any oil based product or cream. You will also have to stop using mascara and an eyeliner. You should avoid playing with your eyelashes or tugging them. You cannot forget, however to gently brush them so that they stay in the upright position. False eyelashes tend to curl in zigzag position and they may look messy if not set in the desired position. It seems that what may damage eyelash extensions the most, apart from oily products, is the eyelash curler. It can very easily break the bond between the natural eyelash and the false one.
To get the natural look, we should pick eyelashes in different length. Our natural eyelashes are never equally long; they shed and grow back at different times. Eyelashes ought to be shorter in the eye corners and a bit longer in the middle of the eye. If you do not want to have the eyelash extensions done, you can also buy a set of falsies, the choice is impressive. False eyelashes comes in different length, curl, thickness. If you look carefully, you can also get the set made of natural material. What’s more, if you are planning a wild night out, you can pick a set in different colours: red, purple, blue with sparkles or not. If you are not a big fan of obviously long and visible false eyelashes, you may want to purchase eyelash clusters, so that they will mix with your natural eyelashes, giving you great, yet natural look.
How to apply false eyelashes?
If you decide to apply a pair of false eyelashes, you should do it in good light and you should never rush. Eye area is very sensitive so that you do not want to damage your sight by sticking the glue into your eye. What you will need are eyelash stripes or eyelash clusters, a pair of tweezers and special adhesive for falsies. Never try to use a glue of unknown origin. The eyelash adhesive should be purchased in a beauty shore; avoid any online shopping- you never know who is selling it and what the product really is. Firstly, try if the adhesive does not cause any allergy reactions such as redness, or burning feeling on your skin. The simplest way to do that is to apply a tiny bit of the adhesive on the back of your wrist and wait for a couple of minutes to check if there is any adverse reaction. If everything seems fine, hold the eyelash stripes with the help of tweezers and apply a small amount of adhesive along the false stripe. Wait a few seconds until the glue starts thickening and then gently stick it to your natural eyelashes as close to the skin as possible. It is important to know that false eyelashes have to be applied always on the eyelashes not on the lid. Do not worry if your adhesive is white and visible, it will become transparent once it is completely dry. For more natural look, it is recommended to apply a thin coat of black mascara to hide the difference between your eyelashes and falsies.
How to take off false eyelashes?
Everything depends on the adhesive that you have used. Usually baby oil should be enough. You can also rinse your face with warm water to ease the whole process. Then slowly pull the stripe away from your lid. If you feel any strong tugging, stop for a few seconds and wet it with water. False eyelashes is not the permanent method of eyelash lengthening. Even if you won’t take the set off at evenings, your falsies are likely to come off themselves while you sleep.
